Life in this, the 21st century

This is madness.

the little one that you don't even know? Could it be for your videocamera? Because it looks like the one that goes with our videocamera. (the one that we couldn't figure out for a while, because who uses a remote with a videocamera - not us, that's for sure...)

Oh! It IS for the video camera! That's right. The camera is new, so that's why we didn't recognize it. I should also mention that the remote for the radio in the bedroom is missing from the picture.

What's a radio?

auuuggghhh! I feel your pain! After we got married I laid the Remote Control Smackdown and now we have one (one!) universal remote and one (one!) TiFaux remote. P tried to make the universal remote work the TiFaux, which it did, only crappily, so I insisted on the reintroduction of the TiFaux remote. But that is ALL. I would go IN. SANE. if we had all those. Something must be done!

Wellll.... we don't actually use all of those. I exaggerated for comedic effect. Universal remote #1, for example, really did work as a universal remote for awhile, but then we couldn't get it to control something new and went back to Universal #2 and the first one lives in a drawer. And we don't really use the second VCR remote; and we only use the first VCR remote if we need to switch the input. And we don't use the A/C remote. What is up with that, anyway? An A/C remote? We just set the temp and sit down.

So really, we use the cable, the TiFaux, one universal remote, and the DVD remote, because the universal remote controls the DVD player crappily. I am now inspired to ask Andrew to see if we can get the universal remote to control the cable box, though.

Banalities: Oh, ha ha. But remember, I only ever listen to NPR so I need a radio.

yeah, I was right!

my mom has a remote for her cd player/radio. I love it. You can sit across the room and change songs.

Thank you for clarifying that you do not use the air conditioning remote. Otherwise I would have terminated our friendship, you lazy whore.

Actually, I don't know if this is a commentary on my own state of technological advancement, but I don't own and have never owned any radio I could operate remotely, so the idea of a remote for the radio just blew my mind.
